  • This match was such a roller coaster, with the commentary full of excitement and emotion bouncing up and down with the engine evaluation bar. What a delight to watch! I think both players did very well, and the commentary duo Levy/Anna is great!

  • I still don't get what's exciting about game between a 1100 and a 900 ? I know its fun watching them blunder and stuff but it's a one time thing It starts to get annoying afterwards.... But still good business I appreciate the Initiative and strategy

    oganesson 118oganesson 11813 күн мурун
    • @oganesson 118 You are never forced to watch them. I understand your feelings but I would have never find out how much chess is fun if it wasn't for pogchamps.

      Dimitrija TDimitrija T13 күн мурун
    • @oganesson 118 Yes it's hard to watch how they play if you aren't really a fan of them because everything is hanging but it's still entertaining for the fans watching their favorite streamers play.

      BayekBayek13 күн мурун
    • @Dimitrija T Yes I know that and it introduces new audience to chess and I appreciate it but for me who don't watch these streamers its very cringy like bishops are hanging rooks are hanging mates are hanging etc and on top of that you don't get to understand anything ( for lower rated players sure it might improve there game ) because these things are very basic for a 2100 rated player like me ( who isn't the fan of these streamers) its just annoying tbh... But anyhow its just my opinion im not representing anyone

      oganesson 118oganesson 11813 күн мурун
    • U seem to miss one crucial thing. It's who plays the matches. All the fans of these players ofc cheer for their favorite streamers. That's what makes it fun.

  • "This is an extremely high level game of chess". I understand the commentators need to hype the games up, but come on.

    • Obviously it’s relative, they aren’t suggesting they are playing to a grandmaster level just that for thier rank they are having lots of good ideas and tactics

  • Just for the record, in other games from the chess family, such as shogi, a stalemate is a win for the player who delivers it.

    nexxogennexxogen13 күн мурун
    • @anony mouse For me it doesn't feel that much worse, but anyway, I'm talking about getting stalemated while losing. To me that doesn't feel good, let alone thrilling.

      nexxogennexxogen11 күн мурун
    • @nexxogen trust me it's all psychological. Blundering your queen hits hard but it's a blunder ok should have payed attention. But when you work out your brain so hard the whole game and using your full attention and in the final moment you see the screen it says draw. Feels miles worse than normal blunders

      anony mouseanony mouse11 күн мурун
    • @Bayek Honestly, for me it isn't fun even then. When I win a lost game on time or get stalemated, I don't really feel like I won. I also don't understand people who get ecstatic when it happens to them.

      nexxogennexxogen13 күн мурун
    • Stalemate is only fun for people who got wrecked the whole game lmao

      BayekBayek13 күн мурун
    • @nexxogen logically ... stalemate should win to the stalemate maker but its more fun because it opens doors to underpromotions , stalemate tricks , and puzzles
